Ellington Whippets Win 4th straight BSC Title

Whippets (18-5) had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Van Buren 12-2
In the first inning, Van Buren got their offense started. Hayden Hills singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
Brycen King was the winning pitcher for Whippets. King surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out six and walking one.
Corbin Daugherty toed the rubber for Van Buren. Daugherty allowed three hits and four runs, walking one. Jaco threw four and two-thirds innings in relief.
Whippets launched two home runs on the day. Tyler Hackworth went deep in the first inning. Tucker DeMent went for the long ball in the second inning.
Whippets collected 13 hits. King, Hackworth, DeMent, and John Heady each managed multiple hits for Whippets. King went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Whippets in hits. Whippets was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jake Farmer made the most plays with six.
Hayden Barnes led Van Buren with two hits in three at bats.
