BSC Tourney Day Two Recap
Game 1 featured the #1 seed Ellington Whippets vs the #5 seed Winona Wildcats. The Wildcats would get on the board first with a leadoff double by Sandoval then a groundout and sac fly would later score him.
Ellington would quickly answer back in the bottom of the 1st, scoring 14 runs including a pair of grand slams by Tyler Hackworth and Trevor Copeland.
Ellington would end the game with a walk-off single by Trevor Copeland winning 16-1 in 3 innings.
Game 2 featured the #2 Van Buren Bulldogs and the #3 Alton Comets. This game would be a pitchers duel as neither pitcher would give an inch. Van Buren Hayden Barnes would smack a solo home run in the bottom of the 3rd. That would prove to be enough for Trey Nicholson as he would go the distance striking out 9 and only giving up 2 hits.
Jed Montgomery would take the loss striking out 4 while only allowing 4 hits.
The #3 Alton Comets will face off against the #5 Winona Wildcats in the 3rd place game at 2 while the #1 Ellington Whippets will face off against the #2 Van Buren Bulldogs in the championship.
